Care/Clinical Governance, Risk Management & Data – Preston

  • Preston Conference Centre (Melbourne Polytechnic) Building U, 67 Cramer Street Preston, VIC (map)

Do you have a care/clinical governance framework that describes how your organisation delivers safe, effective quality care?

This in-person one-day workshop is for CHSP-funded service providers who want to master care/clinical governance that includes risk management and data proficiency.

If you already have these frameworks, the workshop provides a unique opportunity to validate and enhance your current practices. If you’re at earlier stages of planning and implementation, the workshop will help you set up the frameworks.

The workshop will include discussion, case studies + hands-on activities.

What we’ll cover

We’ll work through practical steps for developing a care/clinical governance plan with a focus on:

  • Best practice approach to clinical/care governance

  • Establishing strategic risk management protocols

  • Identifying data indicators that will solidify your service delivery.

You’ll work on your organisation’s specific content. This means what you learn in the workshop can be immediately applied when you return to work.

You’ll receive

  • A workbook

  • A template for a clinical/care governance framework

  • Tools and resources to support the development of your organisation’s framework.

What to bring

If your organisation has them, please bring:

  • Strategic plan or business plan

  • Care/clinical governance framework

  • Risk framework and risk appetite statement

  • Care/clinical indicators.

If your organisation does not have these documents, that’s ok.

Follow up session

One month after the workshop there will be a one-hour follow-up online session to consolidate what you’ve learned.

Who’s it for

Managers, CEOs, compliance and quality managers from CHSP-funded aged care services. Team members from smaller CHSP providers are strongly encouraged to attend. Board members welcome.
