Is your organisation’s email system stopping you from receiving important emails?
Have you registered for training and never received order confirmations or important emails about the event? Have you subscribed to a work related newsletter and never received an issue?
It could be because your organisation has strict email filters that block you from getting these important emails. We’ve found this is the case for some aged care & local government organisations.
Emails sent via well-known and trusted event platforms like Humanitix and Eventbrite can be blocked by these filters. Newsletters sent via Mailchimp are sometimes blocked too.
We use Humanitix for our events and Mailchimp for our newsletter.
Here’s what you need to do to help stop emails getting blocked…
Humanitix
If you don't receive an order confirmation within 30 minutes of registering for one of our events, check your spam folder. If you can’t find the email, contact your IT person and give them this info:
Email address: campaigns@humanitix.com, order@humanitix.com
Email domain: email-campaigns.humanitix.com
IP addresses: 198.244.54.51; 159.135.226.224
These details can be marked as “allowed” by your IT person. This should prevent any further issues.
While you’re in contact with your IT person, you may as well give them the info for Mailchimp and Eventbrite.
Mailchimp
We use Mailchimp for our keeping you connected newsletter. If you sign up and don’t receive an issue within a month, it may be blocked. Give your IT person this info:
IP addresses: 205.201.128.0/20; 198.2.128.0/18; 148.105.0.0/16
Eventbrite
We don’t use Eventbrite, but you probably sign up for events that do.
