Business to Government candidate survey
We are improving technology connections between aged care providers and government. We are seeking feedback to select the next Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). APIs for Quality Indicators and 24/7 Registered Nurses have already been released.
APIs allow software to transfer data directly from aged care organisations to us, automating data and report submissions. This reduces administrative burden, giving you time back in your day.
We would like you to tell us:

Quarterly Financial Report due soon
Providers have until 4 August 2024 to submit their Quarter 4 2023-2024 Financial Report (1 April to 30 June 2024) using the Government Provider Management System (GPMS).
Residential aged care providers also report on what they’ve spent on preparing for and managing outbreaks of gastroenteritis, influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and other infectious disease including COVID-19.
The Data Validation Guide and residential care labour costs and hours reporting FAQs can also answer questions about residential care workforce costs and hours.
If any sections of the QFR are missing, incomplete or you cannot submit the QFR, contact Forms Administration on (02) 4403 0640 immediately.

Webinar: Data and digital for providers

Report from National Aged Care Provider Conference
Earlier this year, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission hosted workshops in the lead up to their National Aged Care Provider Conference.
The workshops focused on best-practice approaches to delivering aged care, with panellists from both the Commission and the sector.

Webinar: General Practice in Aged Care Incentive
We are holding a webinar on a new incentive payment program for GPs to provide regular visits and care planning to people living in aged care.
The webinar is for residential aged care providers, residents and anyone with an interest in the new General Practice in Aged Care Incentive.
When: Tuesday 6 August, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm (AEST)
Permanent aged care residents, their GPs and the GP’s practice must be registered with MyMedicare to participate in the program.

Home Care Packages: Pricing transparency assurance review
Accurate, clear and up to date Home Care Packages pricing information on My Aged Care helps older people to make informed decisions about their care.
It’s important home care providers follow pricing transparency requirements.
That’s why we are reviewing providers’ pricing information on My Aged Care over the coming six months. We will notify providers individually before we review their pricing information.
The first pricing transparency review in 2023 significantly improved the accuracy, currency, clarity and completeness of providers’ pricing information on My Aged Care.

Home Care Packages: Recipient letters
You can now see care recipients’ Home Care Package letters online. Letters can be viewed by using ‘Correspondence search’ in the Aged Care Provider Portal.
Services Australia has updated the Home Care Package letters to make them easier to understand. The letters include information and instructions about fees and changes.
